Payment Policy

Once your booking details have been submitted through Alphaway, the accommodation provider will guide you through the payment process and confirm your rent schedule, due dates and accepted payment methods.

Rent must be paid according to the terms of your Residential Agreement. Any advance payment required before your tenancy begins will be communicated directly by the accommodation provider. Payment requirements may vary depending on the property and agreement.

Deposit Policy

A deposit, bond or advance rent payment may be required to secure your accommodation. The applicable amount, payment deadline and terms will be confirmed by the accommodation provider during the booking process.

Where a bond is required, it will be handled according to the tenancy regulations of the Australian state in which your accommodation is located. Refund conditions and any applicable deductions will be outlined in your Residential Agreement.

Cancellation Policy

Once you have signed your Residential Agreement, you are generally responsible for the rent due for the agreed tenancy period. Cancellation conditions and any applicable charges may vary depending on the property, location and terms of your agreement. 

You may be eligible to cancel without charge if you are unable to secure an Australian visa or are declined entry to your intended course. Supporting documentation is required, and the cancellation request must normally be received at least 21 days before your lease commencement date. 

If you cancel within 21 days of your start date, different terms may apply, including a possible four-week termination payment. Cancellation and refund conditions before signing an agreement may also vary by state.
